How to raise funds for Autism Jersey through local
services
An
exciting new concept has hit Jersey's shores. A new
Travel Web site which is for the benefit of the
Islands' charities and community clubs etc.
All you have to do is log in to
Goanddonate.com. You will be then faced with a
choice of household travel companies such as Flybe
to Condor, Avis to Olympic holidays. Once you have
registered you can then choose from the drop down
box which charity club PTA or good cause on the
island you wish to make your beneficiary and Autism
Jersey is on the list.
When the booking is made the web site holders direct
80% of the commission derived from the booking to
your chosen charities account with them (i.e.
Jersey Autism). You will be advised shortly after of
the amount and when donations reach over £25.00
funds are forwarded to the charity on a quarterly
basis. There is no extra cost to the user and as it
is only an extra click there is no reason not to use
it. We can all benefit hugely from our members using
this . We understand we are already in the top five
receiving donations. So there is already a balance
building up for Jersey Autism, so get booking and
make a difference.
www.easyfundraising.org.uk
is similar to Go and Donate but covers a range of
online retailers and insurers. First, register
on the Easy Fund Raising website, selecting Autism
Jersey as your chosen charity. When you wish
to make a purchase, visit your chosen online
retailer via the easyfundraising website. Once
you have made your purchase, a donation is made by
the retailer to Autism Jersey. You can also
see on the site how much money you have raised
overall.
Another
website to check out is
www.charactercakes.info.
Penny Chapman donates half of the proceeds from the
cakes to Autism Jersey, makes lovely cakes and has a
wide range of popular designs. Check out her
picture gallery to see what we mean.
