World Autism Acceptance Month
April 2026
Throughout the month of April, in line with the National Autistic Society, we dedicate ourselves to this annual event to promote knowledge, awareness, understanding and primarily acceptance of autism spectrum conditions.
During this month, we will be sharing valuable information and resources across our social media platforms. Hosting various events, as well as hosting a stall in town, offering a relaxed and fun environment full of information about autism and the services we provide as a charity.
What’s happening
Thursday 2nd: Autism Jersey Gazebo at Charing Cross, will have members of the Autism Jersey team in attendance with colleagues from the Autism Advisory Group, Jersey Youth Service, the Autism and Social Communication Team - who are an advisory service to schools, to listen, share information and signpost to suitably qualified support.
Fort Regent will be lit up blue for the day.
From this date, the Autism Jersey Branded Refuge Vehicle will be out and about on the streets of St. Helier to support the campaign throughout the month.
Saturday 4th April: We will be hosting our annual Autism Jersey Easter Saturday Duck Race. This year we will be hosting the actual race Live online on our Facebook account. However, we will still have a series of activities, entertainment, refreshments and more to enjoy at Le Persquage Stream. To learn more about this event, visit: LINK HERE
April Family Events - Valley Adventure Centre: Our April Family Events are sessions at Valley Adventure Centre. Our family events are designed to offer autistic families the opportunity to enjoy a fun activity, amongst like-minded people. The exact dates for this event will be allocated to our attendees upon registration. Friday 17th & 24th April: Walking Talking Coffee Mornings (weather permitted) for Parents and Carers starting from the Freedom Tree by the Radisson Blu Hotel, 10:00am-12:00pm.
Friday 24th April: We will be hosting our monthly 500 club draw where 5 lucky participants will win up to £100! All of the money raised from these draws directly support our charity. If you would like to sign up and get involved, follow this link: LINK HERE
