Short Break Services and Supported Living

At Autism Jersey we pride ourselves on the service we provide to people and their families, and in particular in regard to our commissioned personalised packages of care for children and adults, including short break services and supported living.

Since August 2012, Autism Jersey has provided Short Break Services, supporting children and adults who are on the autism spectrum.  We assist with social and life skills, supporting people to live independently and make full use of our local community and all it has to offer.

Autism Jersey is registered under the Government of Jersey regulation of Care Law as a provider of Short Break Services and Supported Living Services. The support provided by Autism Jersey is based on an individual’s assessment of their personal needs, and can cover everything from personal care, social and life skills, to going out and about having a good time. We work closely in partnership with other professional agencies to ensure that we provide the best support we can for any individual or family.

Some adults with autism require their own dedicated specialist staff team providing support up to 24 hours a day in their own homes. We work closely with families, seeking their advice on everyday issues and we encourage family support. We work as part of a support network that enables people to reach their true potential and lead as full and inclusive a life as they can. We actively promote and work towards people achieving independence and celebrate in their success.
