The ‘Channel Your Dreams’ Bursary

If you’re 18 or over with a formal diagnosis of Autism, you could be awarded up to £500 to fund opportunities that will enhance your employment prospects or help enhance your day-to-day wellbeing.

How does it work?

In order to receive the funds, you will need to submit an application to this email address:

This could be done by you (the applicant), or by a parent, carer or support worker.

What does the application need to include?

The application MUST include the following:

  • Information regarding your diagnosis (if we don’t have this information already), if you would prefer this to be confidential and shown only to our HR team, we would be happy to assist you with this.

  • The amount which is being requested (maximum of £500).

  • Details about what the money will be spent on & how this will benefit the individual in employment prospects or enhancing day-to-day life/wellbeing.

  • Your name and contact details so that we know how to contact you to inform you on the result of the application.

What will happen once the application has been submitted?

Once your application has been submitted, it will then be reviewed by the following individuals:

  • Chris Dunne, Chief Executive Officer

  • Laura Parkes, Autism Jersey Board of Trustees

  • Anna Sheehan, Autism Jersey Board of Trustees

This panel will review each application. All three must agree to approve the funding before it can be awarded.

If you are successful, you will be contacted via the details you provided us with.

How will the funds will be awarded?

If you are a successful applicant and you have been granted the funds, these are the three different ways in which the funds may be awarded, dependant on circumstances:

  • You purchase the item/service yourself, we will then ask you for a receipt and reimburse you.

  • If that is not possible, we will pay directly for the purchase or service.

  • If we are unable to do this & need to transfer the money directly to the individual or their nominated person, we will require a receipt for the purchase of the item, or the service agreed.
